SEASON 4 SIGN-UPS TO BEGIN IN DECEMBER

Season 4 sign-ups will begin on Monday, December 18, 2023. They will run for three weeks, ending on Sunday, January 7th, 2024.

MAML seasons run for three open competitions with a fourth invitational championship competition. Coaches are only committed to playing the open competitions they sign up for. Those who earn a spot in the championship are committed to playing that competition as well. Moreover, the season is structured in a way which allows coaches to commit to however many open competitions they like and still remain competitive.

The league is built specifically to be welcoming to all coaches regardless of experience or skill level.

The season will be played with either Blood Bowl II or Blood Bowl III. Watch this space for updates as to which game will be used.

DINNERBELL DARLINGS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP

The Dinnerbell Darlings win the league championship 2-1, with an impressive season record of 25-0-3.

The Darlings lost to just three coaches this season. One loss was to Sweetbunny14691 in the Chaos Cup final. Two losses were in the Dungeonbowl: one to Dead Fred in week five and another to El Nooberino in the semi-finals.

When asked how the Darlings were able to finish the season with such an exceptional record, the Darling's coach, DougTheMinotaur, had this to say: "Well, it really starts before the season begins. You really want your scouts to hit the right places to find the right talent. The right talent on the roster is key."

We asked which sources were tapped for the Dinnerbell Darlings recruiting efforts. "We tried the Writers Guild at first but decided a sword really is mightier than the pen when it comes to Blood Bowl", said DougTheMinotaur. "So, we though SAG-AFTRA would be the way to go. Turns out, we were right."

Kevin Bacon, runner for the Dinnerbell Darlings, would finish the season with 27 TDs, 1368 running yards, 4 inflicted casualties, 1 inflicted surf, and 1 MVP. He will go down in history as one of the greatest players to have played the game.

Rumor says the league plans to nominate Kevin Bacon as the second MAML Hall of Fame inductee alongside Pips Pippy.

"THAT'S KINDA CATCHY?" WIN CHAMPIONSHIP

"That's kinda catchy?" win the league championship 2-1, with a final record of 8-1-2.

"That's kinda catchy?" lost to just two coaches this season. One loss was to Nik Saten, former league champion, in week four of the Chaos Cup. The other loss was to DougTheMinotaur in week six of the Chaos Cup.

Sweetbunny14691 elected to reserve the team after their win in the Chaos Cup, seemingly in a move to keep the team healthy for the Blood Bowl. When we asked him why he coached a different team for the rest of the season, he had this to say:

"Honestly, we were going to try to gain as much TV as possible. That was the plan in the pre-season. However, we just couldn't work out the kinks in our Witch Elf armor. For some reason, papier-mâché just wasn't strong enough. We couldn't figure out why. We tried alternatives like styrofoam and cardboard but those weren't working either."

"We spoke to Dead Fred and our wood elf friends about their smithing technology. They suggested wood kindling. Can you imagine? Kindling, ha! We politely declined and moved forward with our own, clearly superior technology. However, for whatever reason, it just wasn't working out. So, we pivoted and decided if we can win one competition, we'll count our blessings and save the team for the Blood Bowl."

The decision was a good one as "That's kinda catchy?" are the new league champions. Congratulations to the team!
