WEEK ENDS WITH SIX UNDEFEATED TEAMS
Week 1 in the Spike! Magazine Trophy ended with six teams undefeated. Tracksuit Mafia and Play it by Nuffle won their games while A Reptile Dysfunkshun, Pips Pippy Fan Club, Pity the Ghoul, and Take da Wood, Take da Bad drew in their games.
"I think the standings can just stay this way forever", said Tracksuit Mafia coach, Merek. "We're all winners in this league. Just so long as I'm the winningest winner."
When Merek was questioned on this comment, he called over three Mafia players with claws.
We have concluded that we agree with his sentiment.
Tracksuit Mafia Minotaur, Bro Ivan, dies in the final turn of their week 1 game against A miner matter. His family says he'll probably be missed by someone.
UNPRECEDENTED CHEERS AND ADULATION AS LEAGUE COACHES RALLY BEHIND TAKE DA WOOD, TAKE DA BAD
League coaches turned out in droves to support Take da Wood, Take da Bad in their game this week. It was a move never before seen in the league.
"I'm just so very touched by it all", said EvaUnit02, coach of Take da Wood, Take da Bad. "I couldn't believe all of the nice things they were saying and how serious they were about ensuring I protect my Wardancers in this game. I think they really care."
Clypheous, coach of Play it by Nuffle, had this to say, "We just all deeply care about the well being of our brothers, the wood elves. They are such a majestic part of this league, this game, and indeed, our culture."
Artificialbunny, coach of A miner matter, was particularly defensive of the team: "If anyone lays a hand on our beloved wood elves, they'll have to go through my trolls first!".
This recognition of just how lovely and respectable wood elves are is a great step forward for the league. We can't wait to see it continue and evolve.
PIPS PIPPY INDUCTED IN TO MAML HALL OF FAME
Mid-Atlantic Mauling League hero, Pips Pippy, is the first inductee in to the MAML Hall of Fame for his heroics on the pitch, league commissioners announced last night.
Said league commissioners, "For recognition of advancing the game of Blood Bowl through both brave blocking and strategically picking on people twice his size, we induct Pips Pippy in to the Mid-Atlantic Mauling League. Today's players have improved so much thanks to the tactics and game reels of Pips Pippy."
We interviewed a young goblin fan of the league and he had this to say, "When I grow up, I want to surf a treeman in to the crowd!"
