THE SPIKE! MAGAZINE TROPHY BEGINS!

CURRENT CHAMPS SET TO DEFEND THEIR TITLE

EvaUnit02 is back to defend his title in this season's Spike! Magazine Trophy! He has traded in the humans of the Baltimore Vloopdioops for the Wood Elves of Take da Wood, Take da Bad.

Take da Wood, Take da Bad failed to make the cut in the Chaos Cup earlier in the season, finishing in 6th place. They're coming in to the Spike! Magazine Trophy down two players due to injury and they're facing the very same team who injured them last season, Pity the Ghoul! That game ended in a draw. Can Take da Wood, Take da Bad exact revenge to open this competition or will Pity the Ghoul capitalize on the injuries to earn their first win of the competition?

The first competition of the season, The Chaos Cup, ended in victory for Clypheous and Knee-High to Nuffle. They went on to win the championship game, 2-1, in a thrilling overtime match.

WOOD ELVES UNDER SUSPICION OF PERFORMANCE-ENHANCING POTIONS AFTER ACCUSATIONS OF NOT DYING ENOUGH

Take da Wood, Take da Bad is under fire due to suspicions of using performance-enhancing potions after sustaining surprisingly few deaths after the Chaos Cup, according to sources.

"Of course we're taking those potions", said EvaUnit02, coach for Take da Wood, Take da Bad. "The Winey Bevers brought out a giant steamroller with spikes last season. Why aren't you interviewing them right now?"

When we pointed out that The Winey Bevers had their Deathroller called off the pitch in each and every game they used it, EvaUnit02 replied, "Oh yeah? Well rumor has it Play it by Nuffle will have bombs this season. Bombs! What are you supposed to do against bombs!? We'll do whatever we have to do to survive!"

We're continuing to investigate the story and will report new information as we receive it.

KNEE-HIGH TO NUFFLE RIDING HIGH AFTER CHAOS CUP WIN

Knee-High to Nuffle and their coach, Clypheous, scored the first competition victory of the season with a victory over Season 1 champion, Nik Saten, and his A Reptile Dysfunkshun squad. Knee-High to Nuffle finished the Chaos Cup undefeated with a record of 5 wins and 2 draws.

With Knee-High to Nuffle earning their spot in the Blood Bowl, Clypheous traded in the chaos dwarfs for goblins coming in to this Spike! Magazine Trophy. If he secures a second competition win, he'll have his choice of teams to field in the Blood Bowl. However, his opponents are going to do their very best to take advantage of the low AV of this goblin team and ensure he's constantly spending money on replacement players.
